"By April 18, 1775, the Sons of Liberty were in quite the quandary. British soldiers were traveling the countryside confiscating the colonists’ weapons, so they needed a way to alert the Minutemen that their arrival was imminent, giving them time to hide their firearms."

Article : Internet Explorer exploit lets hackers steal your data even if you never use it

"Security researcher John Page has discovered a new security flaw that allows hackers to steal Windows users’ data thanks to Internet Explorer. The craziest part: Windows users don’t ever even have to open the now-obsolete web browser for malicious actors to use the exploit. It just needs to exist on their computer."

Measles outbreak kills more than 1,200 in Madagascar

That's this month. Because only 58% of the population there is Vaccinated. You need 95% vaccination to prevent epidemic events. They are not vaccinated due to lack of resources and medical staff to handle the sheer volume of response needed.

Anti-Vaxers in the USA, UK, Canada etc are EVIL and are risking the lives of their children and their neighbors children and everyone else's children where they live. Most of the people trying to prevent vaccination are only alive because THEY were themselves vaccinated as children under the force of law.

They are MURDERING CHILDREN by NEGLECT. PERIOD.

They are believing lies and misinformation being spread by Russian troll farms and the alt-right who believe that they cull the herd of "inferior races" and persons they consider genetically weak, just like the fascists of WW2 did (which included murdering the sick in their own hospitals at the start of the war).

Mars methane hunt comes up empty, flummoxing scientists

"A spacecraft that was supposed to solve the mystery of methane on Mars has instead compounded scientists’ confusion. The European–Russian Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO), which began looking for the gas last year, has yet to find any whiffs of it in Mars’s atmosphere, says a study published on 10 April in Nature."

200 Year Old Mystery Of the Revolution Solved

"Pulaski is revered as the father of American cavalry. He came to America of his own volition to fight in the War of Independence. One of the Revolution’s great heroes, he was a loner. A very private person, he was extremely driven and difficult with people. (It’s one reason Washington simply ended up giving Pulaski his own legion, most of whom were Europeans.) Both superiors and subordinates considered him imperious. He was brave in battle to the point of recklessness. Detractors called him a loose cannon. Short and thin, pacing and speaking quickly, he lacked interest in women or drinking.

And he harbored a secret that lay unknown for more than 200 years, until an Arizona State University bioarchaeologist and a colleague discovered the truth."

"Fuelling this appetite for water is the “8x8 rule”: the unofficial advice recommending we drink eight 240ml glasses of water per day, totalling just under two litres, on top of any other drinks.

That “rule”, however, isn’t backed by scientific findings – nor do UK or EU official guidelines say we should be drinking this much."

So, as promised here is the recipe that I did yesterday. This is for a 6 muffin batch. I use a pan for this with paper liners.

1 Egg
1 Tablespoon Sugar
2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
1/2 Cup of Milk
1/2 Cup of Apple Sauce ( I used Unsweetened from Trader Joes)
2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
3/4 Cup of Oat Flour
2 Tablespoons Wheat Bran
3 Tablespoons Flaxseed
2 Tablespoons Buckwheat
1 1/2 Teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
1/4 teaspoon Salt

(If you have difficulty getting the lesser grains you can substitute one for another among them.)

Combine and mix thoroughly. If the dough seems to liquidy add more of the Oat Flour or Buckwheat. If it is seems too thick add a little more applesauce.

Spoon into prepared muffin/cupcake pans. Bake at 375 F for 20-25 minutes (check with a toothpick inserted into the center of the muffins, if it comes out dry its ready.

Possible Modification : Adding a 1/4 cup of chopped Walnuts.

Do not put these in a container until they have cooled, else humidity builds up from escaping heat and they will go moldy (which can be bad… as in bad taste and or making you sick).

So over the last few weeks on the now dead G+, I and a number of the other folks still there posted up a series of Youtube Videos.

These were a combination of music, movie and tv clips (and a few poems) that we felt reflected our mood, emotions, reflections and connections to each other thru Googleplus as it was going thru it's undeserved and outright evil death at the hands of the Alphabet/Google Corporate Leadership that had hated the social network for years because it wasn't Facebook.

I collected all these into a playlist.

Here's how many trees are required to cool a city street

(Sorry couldn't find a good appropriate sized city street scene photo with trees).

Article link is interesting and important as most cities are doing it WRONG and our City is in severe Tree Coverage decline because the city council is in the pockets of the developers along with the overpaid city manager.

This is going to Change The Internet Forever In the End

All we can hope for is that the member states will reject the vote results.

Quote:

The two clauses causing the most controversy are known as Article 11 and Article 13.

Article 11 states that search engines and news aggregate platforms should pay to use links from news websites.

Article 13 holds larger technology companies responsible for material posted without a copyright licence.

It means they would need to apply filters to content before it is uploaded.

This will affect all the social media sites that originate in the EU, as well as those that maintain servers there, or do business there. It will also affect the non-commercial public networks and their outposts (like Diaspora).

It can affect all fandom related sites as well.

I put together a quick recipe this past week for some muffins that would be good for someone like me who was trying to find a healthy breakfast starter to have on hand. This recipe makes 6 muffins and is designed to be low sugar, low fat and relatively low glycemic.

Preheat oven to 375

Wet Ingredients:

1 Egg
1/2 tablespoon of raw granulated sugar
2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil (Canola is what I used)
1/2 cup of milk

Spices:
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

(spices can be varied based on what you have but basically 2 teaspoons of spices from the above list)

Dry Ingredients:

3/4 Cup Oat Flour
2 Tablespoons Wheat Bran
2 Tablespoons ground Flaxseed
2 Tablespoons Buckwheat
1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Teaspoon Salt

Stir all that together, then fold in 1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries (I used frozen as fresh are not in season)

Spoon into prepared muffin pan (6 in this case, just double everything for 12) I’m using paper fillers so the pan doesn’t need to be greased.

Baking time is 15-20 minutes. Use a toothpick to check to see that its read (stick in center, if it comes out dry or with only a few crumbs it should be fine). I let them cool and then stored them in a closed container and served the next day but probably can be served when cool enough to eat.

I’m finding so far these are helping stabilize by IBS flaring up, just the right amount of fiber.
